Before you use it

Works well for

  • Text copied from PDFs and emails
  • Turning a list into a comma-separated line
  • Cleaning extra spaces

Not the right tool for

  • Tables and formatted layouts — structure will be lost
  • Code, where line breaks matter

How to use it

  1. Paste the text.
  2. Keep "keep paragraphs" on to join lines inside each paragraph but preserve blank lines between them.
  3. Copy the result.

Choose "comma" to turn a list with one item per line into a comma-separated list, ready for a spreadsheet or a SQL query.

Frequently asked questions

Why does PDF text have so many line breaks?

PDFs store text line by line for printing, so copying keeps a break at the end of every line.

Can it remove empty lines only?

Turn off "keep paragraphs" and choose "nothing" to remove every break.
