Use Pandoo as an app
Pandoo can be installed on your phone or computer like an app. It gets an icon on your home screen or taskbar, opens in its own window, and the pages you've opened keep working without internet. It's free, takes a few seconds and doesn't go through an app store.
iPhone and iPad
- Open pandoo.pro in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Pandoo icon appears on your home screen.
Recent versions of Chrome and Edge for iPhone also show "Add to Home Screen" in their share menu.
Android
- Open pandoo.pro in Chrome.
- Tap the menu ⋮ in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install app (on some phones it's called Add to Home screen).
- Confirm. Pandoo appears with your other apps.
In Samsung Internet: menu ☰ → Add page to → Home screen.
Windows, Mac and Linux
- Open pandoo.pro in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon on the right side of the address bar (a screen with a small arrow). If you don't see it: in Chrome, menu ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app; in Edge, menu … → Apps → Install this site as an app.
- Confirm. Pandoo opens in its own window and appears in the Start menu, where you can pin it to the taskbar.
On a Mac with Safari: File → Add to Dock.
What changes when it's installed
- It opens in its own window, without the browser's address bar.
- Pages you've already opened keep working offline.
- It updates by itself — there's nothing to download from a store.
- Privacy stays exactly the same: the app is the same site, and your files still never leave your device.
How to remove it
Like any other app: on a phone, press and hold the icon and choose remove. On Windows, open Pandoo, click the menu … at the top of the window and choose Uninstall, or remove it in Settings → Apps.
